I’m a Brighton based commercial photographer with 30 years of experience as an advertising art director under my belt.
I translate client's briefs into eye-catching, iconic visuals that communicate quickly and effectively.
My advertising experience saw me working with and learning from some of the world's greatest commercial photographers, whilst creating national and global campaigns for brands including Land Rover, Volkswagen, Bacardi, M&S, Vodafone, Lloyds Bank and Virgin Atlantic in some of London's top ad agencies.
Since putting down the layout pad and picking up the camera I've worked for ad agencies, PR consultancies, graphic designers and direct to client on anything from digital campaigns to theatre backdrops.
Clients include English Heritage, South Downs National Park, Brighton Palace Pier, Lloyds Bank, Land Rover, Vienna State Opera, London’s Royal Docks, Save the Children and Conde Nast Traveller.
Personal work
I’m continually adding to long running photographic projects. I’ve been photographing by moonlight for the last 15 years, mainly in and around Brighton, but also as far away as Japan, South Africa and Chile. Taking photos by moonlight changes familiar landscapes into something otherworldly. I've played with that surreal quality of light with my Sleepwalking series. Like many photographers I am a bit OCD, which can be evidenced by my ever expanding Collections project.
