Royal British Legion. During the making of the 2015 Poppy Appeal advertising campaign, I photographed behind the scenes shots and portraits.
The TV and print campaign showed modern service men and women arriving for a portrait session at Edward Reeves Photography of Lewes.
Using the hundred year old photographic glass plates from the studio's archives as reference, Tom Reeves photographed veterans of recent wars against the original painted backdrops, perfectly recreating the shots his great grandfather had taken.
The large format film camera that Tom used to photograph the modern-day service men and women was last used by his grandfather in 1930.
My images were used to publicise the advertising campaign in the national press as well as on the Royal British Legion's website.
