Vienna State Opera. I was commissioned by celebrated theatre designer Vicki Mortimer to create a 19x12 metre printed backdrop for Sir David McVicar’s production of Handel's Ariodante.
The brief called for a cloudy sky with a thin strip of sea and pebbles, which Brighton has in abundance.
In order to create an image that would print 19 x 12 metres, I had to shoot 66 overlapping photographs and carefully stitch them together.
